Hippach in Zillertal

608 m - 1.384 inhabitants

Hippach lies in the heart of the Zillertal Valley, at 608 metres above sea level. Surrounded by the Zillertal, Tux and Kitzbühel Alps, the village has established itself as a first class holiday destination in both summer and winter. Popular day trip destinations include the Talbach and Laimach Waterfalls.

Holidaymakers who want to experience an active holiday, yet prefer not to be in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Mayrhofen, are attracted to this charming village. Especially at Christmas, Hippach is home to a range of cultural treasures and is proud to be the former home of the "Strasser Singers", who took the famous Christmas carol, "Silent Night, Holy Night" from here into the big, wide world.
