TT Wandercup at Stilluptal

Just behind Mayrhofen begins a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers. The TT hikers will immerse themselves in the natural idyll on Sunday, June 18, and be there when the new waterfall trail Stilluptal is opened.

In the summer months, the white slopes in the Zillertal valley once again become lush green alpine pastures and in the Mayrhofen-Hippach vacation region a vast paradise opens up for hiking, biking, climbing and trail running.

The high mountain nature park Zillertal Alps, the "rest area" on the Zillertal main ridge is full of impressions: With nearly 80 glaciers, three large reservoirs, mountain and cirque lakes, the landscape extends over all altitude levels of the inner Alps. The wild and romantic Stilluptal valley is a particularly popular excursion spot and a sought-after destination for cyclists and hikers.

Here there is a waterfall at 1.130 m above sea level - the largest waterfall in the Stilluptal - which is known as the "Krönung". Chamois, marmots and 500 different butterflies impressively testify to the richness of species in the valley. TT hikers can see for themselves the diversity of the landscape, its rich fauna and flora. Starting from the Alpengasthaus Wasserfall along the Wasserfallweg, they will discover the magnificent panorama and the rustic refreshment stops step by step. Stamps will be collected at Stillupperhaus, Birberg Alm and Grüne Wand Hütte - the destination of the new Wasserfall trail - before families and experts return to Stillupperhaus for the family festival (from 12.30 p.m.). From there, it's then a 40-minute walk back to the parking lot at Gasthaus Wasserfall.

The Zillertal is known for its musicality and for the fact that people like to party there. The TT hikers can shake a leg to Sunnseitn, Landfunk Tirol, Die Mayrhofner, Sigrid und Marina, Mario K. and Tiroler Partymander at the closing party from 12.30 pm at Stillupperhaus. From there it's a 40-minute walk back to the car park at Gasthaus Wasserfall.
